NWT Workshops

Fiddleworks is partners with the Kole Crook Fiddle Association, the Aurora Fiddle Society and Strings Across the Sky.  We all work to provide high quality, inspirational music education experiences for budding young fiddlers in the Canadian North.  We currently send skilled, caring teachers into the North about 5 times a year, working in small communities along the MacKenzie River in the DehCho and Sahtu as well as the larger centres such as Yellowknife and Inuvik.  We are always looking for donated fiddles and strings to bring to these communities, which are full of talented young people but far away from a music store!

Our next Northern teaching tour is scheduled for Dec 3-16 2009; Zav & Trish will be visiting communities in the Deh Cho region and delivering 4 newly refurbished donated fiddles.
