Welcome to Fiddleworks Sunshine Coast 2017!
Each day begins with all camp orchestra at 9:30. Classes take place Monday to Thursday at 11am, 1:30pm and 3pm for one hour each day. Participants will take the classes they choose at registration for the four days.
A few months before camp, registered participants will have access to some sheet music and/or audio files which will be used/taught during camp. After this, classes change requests are permitted before July 1 via the class change form. Class changes are also sometimes allowed after day 1 of camp, but no changes after day 1.
Each afternoon the day closes with jamming or dancing, and a fun (optional) evening activity.
A delicious hot lunch with salad bar is included in class registration and there is also our 'snack shack' onsite with healthy options for purchase for mid-meal munchies.
Community is key, become a Fiddleworker.
Fiddleworks aims to build community (at a personal, local and global level) through music and the arts, using mentorship and celebration in a multi-generational setting (which values relationship with others and the earth).
This aim is key to the success of our camps and it is our top priority.
So at registration, we are asking all willing participants to select 'Fiddleworker' crews for the duration of the camp. We ask everyone to joyfully give 30-60 minutes of help on their selected crew during the week of camp.
Steps to Fiddleworks Sunshine Coast registration:
1. Review the list of Fiddleworker positions for the Sunshine Coast. Make note of your preferences.
2. Check the class levels to find the right level for you.
3. Check out the instructors and classes for this year, make your choices based on the class schedule. Make note of your choices.
(Note: class changes are allowed up until July 1, 2017 and must be made using the Class Change Form)
4. Determine your food and accommodation options. (Note: Lunch is included for all participants.) Also make sure you know your t-shirt size, if ordering a shirt.
5. Read and review the YMCA's Policies and Procedures.
6. Online registration for Fiddleworks Sunshine Coast begins at 6pm (PST) on April 1, 2017. The link to the online form will be available on this page (the big orange button at the bottom of this page!).
Allow yourself a good chunk of time to complete the registration.
Upon registering, you will receive an automatic confirmation that lists your registration and payment details. Please print or save this email for reference. Extra meals, Fiddleworks gear or Showcase tickets can be purchased here.
You can choose to sign up for the "All in" package or choose individual options below.
"All In" Package: $485 (adults)/ $475 (kids 12 & under)
Includes: registration fee ($60 value), Full time classes (3 per day, $330 value), 5 lunches ($62.50 value), Fiddleworks t-shirt ($27 value), Fiddleworks Practice book, bag and tag ($15 value) and a ticket for the Instructors Showcase Concert ($20/$10 value). Save $29.50!
Full time (includes 3 classes/day, 5 lunches and registration fee): $452.50
Part time 2 (includes 2 classes/day, 5 lunches and registration fee): $342.50
Part time 1* (includes 1 class/day, 5 lunches and registration fee): $232.50
Note: Part time options are only available to additional family members. Each family must have at least one Full time participant who is taking 3 classes per day.
*Part time 1 option is subject to availability. Priority will be given to full time participants on the waiting list.
Dinner add-on package (for people not staying in onsite accommodations, but who want to stay for dinner each weeknight): $60 for 4 dinners Monday to Thursday.
Payment is online using credit card or paypal at the time of registration, sending an e-transfer, or cheques can be mailed. See our payment options page for more details.
